When I moved to Shoreditch I had nothing but a mattress. The walls were bare, but we dragged in whatever we could find. No student can afford Mayfair prices, so we searched markets. We carried a wingback through Dalston. It looked like chaos, but that_s what made it real. Old accent chairs carry memory, and we don_t need polish, we need real. Retro furniture feels natural here, and dealers live for it.<br><br>We found ourselves in Smithers showroom, and the place was full of funky retro chairs. we had to haggle, but it_s the pride of the living room. We_ve all dragged furniture through rain. it_s where life happens. Armchairs don_t mind if you fall asleep in them. Modern stuff? Forget it, but real pieces stay alive. every stain means another night.
